Description
Seal-it® 322 HYBRID-FR is a high-quality, fireproof certified and highly elastic sealant based on MS-Polymer®. Specifically for sealing fire-retardant movement joints in facades and floors. Fire-resistant for up to 3 hours tested by Peutz, in accordance with EN 1366-4:2021.
Applications
- Specifically for sealing expansion and connection joints between building and façade elements, which must be fire-resistant and prevent the spread of fire and toxic fumes.
- Sealing of movement joints, such as longitudinal/between concrete parts and masonry.
- Joint sealing in façades, floors, galleries, stairwells, and balconies.
- Sealing of connection joints around/along facades, windows, window, and door frames.
- Sealing of prefabricated elements, sheet materials and panels.
Properties
- Fire-resistant for up to 3 hours, depending on the structure, in accordance with EN 1366-4.
- Long-lasting, permanently elastic.
- Suitable for horizontal and vertical joints, up to 40 mm wide.
- Can be painted over with dispersion paints.
- Isocyanate, phthalate, solvent, and silicone free.
- Low-odour, blister- and shrink-free curing, CE certified
- Very low emission, certified according to EMICODE EC1 PLUS.
- Permanently resistant to UV, weather, water, moisture, and ageing.
Application conditions
- Application temperature (ambient and substrate) between +5°C and +40°C.
- On clean, clean, dry, load bearing, compatible, dust- and grease-free surfaces.
- Ensuring the right joint dimensions to be able to absorb movements properly.
- Remove loose components from the surface using a suitable brush.
- Degrease surfaces thoroughly using Seal-it® 510 CLEANER.
- Seal-it® 322 HYBRID-FR has a broad adhesion spectrum, but highly porous surfaces should be pre-treated with Seal-it® 520 PRIMER and non-porous surfaces with minimal adhesion should be pre-treated with Seal-it® 525 Clean & Bond.
- Smooth and tight finish, using Seal-it® 550 FINISH, for skin formation.
